Comprehensive Drawing Workshop for Intermediate to Advanced Artists

Over the 2 days, there will be drawing demos and breakdowns of masterworks to illustrate specific techniques, with a focus on ample time for students to practice these techniques drawing from live models.

Artist Bio: Kate is an nationally recognized, award winning artist who has won the hearts of many. Her creations center around family, predominantly her own, and her drawings as well as her paintings are coveted by collectors. She is a skilled instructor and is eager to help you grow in your personal drawing skills, whether intermediate or advanced.

• Vine charcoal

• White charcoal

• General’s graphite pencils 

• General's charcoal pencils

• Strathmore toned paper in Toned Gray and Tan

• Afmat Pencil Sharpener

What are two of the most impactful elements in art? 

Feeling and believability. 

Without feeling, art doesn't move us or draw us into the story. 

Without believability in any capacity, art can have less connection with the viewer and often leaves the artist unsatisfied, depending on their goals.

For two days we'll be intensively learning and practicing techniques to understand both of these elements so you can use them in your art, according to your vision.
